Carpenter Supervisor Needed (Residential & Commercial Renovations)
Brilliant Renovations is hiring two Carpenter Supervisor. Complete high School, 3 to 5 years of experience, hold carpenter trade certificate and driver’s licence, speak Mandarin or Cantonese. English is an asset. Residential and Commercial Renovations, supervise and co-ordinate the activities of carpenters. Waged 21.40/hr f/t. Main Duties
- Read and interpret drawings and sketches to determine renovation specifications
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install doors, stairs, and other trim items
- Renovate and repair wooden structures in residential homes
- Supervise apprentices and other construction workers
- Prepare cost estimates for clients.
- Supervise and co-ordinate activity of other renovation workers, carpenters, and apprentices,
- Install interior finishing in residential buildings
- Establish methods to meet work schedules
- Purchase renovating materials and supplies from home depot and deliver to work sites
- Resolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivity
- Train other workers and take apprentices
